About Us

Ryan Childress your best choice for business attorney Tulsa came from humble beginnings. The son of an auto mechanic, Ryan had to work very hard in life to earn scholarships to pay for his education. In high school is where Ryan first shined bright. He worked, played tennis, maintained a 4.0+ GPA, graduated in the top 10 of his class, was twice-elected President of Key Club (a high school arm of Kiwanis that aims at public service for needs in the community), and was class president all four years of high school. The last three years, he ran unopposed. It was Ryan’s personal approach to his peers that separated him from the rest. Everyone matters, and he did everything he could to show each person that he was a sincere leader.

Athletically, Ryan was a star tennis player before becoming a business attorney Tulsa. He was the only four-year varsity letterman when he graduated. He was conference champion numerous times in both singles and doubles.

Ryan first learned the value of hard work in high school on the Speech and Debate team. After qualifying to nationals twice, and being ranked one of the top 25 debaters in overall points accumulated by the National Forensics League, Ryan earned a debate scholarship to attend Missouri State University. Beyond debate, Ryan earned a full academic scholarship to assist in becoming a business attorney Tulsa as well as several leadership scholarships.

At Missouri State, Ryan truly shined. He majored in Public Relations with minors in Technical Writing and Public Law (a minor designed to prepare a student for law school to become a business attorney Tulsa). Outside the classroom, Ryan worked multiple jobs while holding numerous leadership roles on campus. Those roles include, but are not limited to, a Resident Assistant, Executive Board of the Student Government Association, Tutor, Assistant Director of Forensics at Parkview High School, and he was even appointed by then Governor Roy Blunt to serve as Student Governor on the Missouri State University System Board of Governors. This was the highest leadership position on campus.

After his eight-year commitment to high school speech and debate, Ryan put his experience on paper when he wrote, “The Super-Novice File: A Beginner’s Guide to Policy Debate.” The National Forensics League (now National Speech & Debate Association) was so thrilled with the work they made it their official guide to policy debate for the entire country for beginning coaches and students.

Ryan continued his path to success when he accepted a $60,000.00 scholarship to the University of Tulsa College of Law. In law school to become a business attorney Tulsa, Ryan earned the CALI award for Legal Reasoning, Writing, & Analysis I. CALI awards are given to the student who earns the highest grade in the class. Ryan served as Managing Editor of the Tulsa Law Review, a student ambassador, Speaker of the House for the Student Bar Association, and competed on the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and National Trial Competition (NTC) trial teams. Ryan was Captain of the NTC team, which is the school’s most advanced trial team. He and trial partner Matt Day won first place in four trial competitions: The Redbud Qualifier (2010), The Redbud Invitational (2010), the Redbud Qualifier (2011), and the Redbud Invitational (2011). These accomplishments led Ryan to be inducted into an advocacy honor society, the Order of the Barristers, an award given to only 15 students in the class.

Ryan graduated with all these distinctions in May, 2012; passed the bar in July, 2012; and was sworn into the Oklahoma Bar Association on September 19th, 2012.

Throughout Ryan’s legal career, he has helped numerous businesses as a business attorney Tulsa with a variety of issues including, but not limited to, drafting contracts, legal research, document review, and investigations into various disputes. He has first-chaired two civil jury trials and second-chaired four. He has taken hundreds of depositions and tried approximately 50 cases for clients trying to obtain disability benefits through the Social Security Administration.. He has a wide variety of experiences that can help a business navigate multiple legal avenues.

Right out of law school, Ryan managed a volume personal injury litigation practice for one of the largest personal injury firms in the state before deciding to go into business attorney Tulsa. Even though only 25 years old, Ryan was entrusted with the practice’s litigation division. Lawyers twice his age routinely complimented his strong work ethic, rate with which he responded to the correspondence of opposing counsel, and impressed judges with his advocacy skills.

Ryan’s positive reputation has quickly grown in the Oklahoma legal community. After only five years of practice, Ryan earned a Martin-Dale Hubbell rating of Pre-Eminent© , the highest possible rating for both legal ability and ethical standards. This is impressive for anyone to obtain at any point in his/her business attorney Tulsa career. What is most impressive is Ryan earned this in just five short years, which is the first year a practitioner can apply for the rating. The process is a rigorous, peer-review process where at least 15 other attorneys must rate the applicant.

RC Law Group is not the only job for Ryan Childress. Ryan is also an Adjunct Professor of Communication at Tulsa Community College where he teaches Introduction to Public Speaking to what will hopefully be more business attorney Tulsa. Ryan translated his near decade in high school debate along with his trial team experiences/litigation background into a platform to help others master the basics of speaking in front of others.

As a CrossFit athlete, Ryan held numerous records for the various gyms he attended. His personal record for a deadlift is 425 pounds even though he only weighed 180 pounds at the time he achieved this feat. Ryan excels with a jump rope in his hand. Ryan routinely coached others on the art of a double under, a complicated jump rope move where you jump and the rope spins twice under your feet before you land. Ryan once competed and performed 150 consecutive double unders without stopping. But none of these even come close to the joy that comes with helping others as a business attorney Tulsa.
